Our assignment was to design a freestanding, Nike branded baseball bat fixture – elevating the retail presentation of Nike’s high end, technical baseball bats in sporting goods and specialty stores in the U.S. The display had to prominently feature demo bats that customers could try out, and include inventory for sale.

Diverging from typical vertical bat orientation, the display shown above holds the bats horizontally, for a unique and unexpected feel. White glossy surfaces provide a clean canvas for the bats to be the hero. Cascading bats are held in place by custom, Nike-branded vinyl-dipped wire brackets that insert into back frame.

Inspired by stadium architecture, the above display sports clean lines and metal frames. The white powder-coated form provides structure, and allows areas for interchangeable messaging and graphics. The curved bat display area is framed in riveted angle iron, with a laser-cut sheet metal overlay, and vertical, laminated strips providing separation and a classic baseball feel.

The circular, multilevel display above delivers eye-catching form and function. An interior column attaches to a sturdy, membrane-pressed steel base for structure and support. Vinyl-dipped wire baskets hold the bats in a multilevel formation to provide clean organization, easy customer access and visual interest. Interchangeable graphics slide into circular wire channels on 3 levels, creating multiple areas for messaging. Black vacuum-formed dimpled cap mimics the Nike Aero Cap bat feature.
